On November 15, 2024, at the Azersun Pavilion in COP29’s Green Zone, the panel discussion "Empowering Farmers in Tea Industry (Social Impact)" spotlighted sustainable tea farming practices in Azerbaijan. Organized by Azerchay, and moderated by Narmina Aliyeva from Sustainera Solutions, the event showcased tea farming as a cornerstone of livelihood for over 4,000 farmers in South Azerbaijan. Discussions delved into the economic and social impacts of tea production, emphasizing the interconnectedness of sustainable practices, local traditions, and global sustainability goals.

 Their focus on empowering women farmers and enhancing partnerships across the tea value chain brought forward innovative solutions for sustainable tea farming.
