From November 11–22, COP29 brought together global leaders, experts, and stakeholders to address critical issues surrounding climate change, with a strong emphasis on financial mechanisms for sustainable development. This milestone event marked the first COP participation for Sustainera Solutions, where we actively contributed to the dialogue through 15 co-organized events both in Green Zone and Blue Zones.

Our engagement with COP29 was a logical progression from our earlier contributions, which included conducting the sustainability readiness assessment and delivering capacity-building sessions for COP29 volunteers in Azerbaijan.

We are proud to announce that our Executive Director, Ilkin Haji, has been awarded the 'Sustainable Development Nomination' at the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year competition organized by EY Azerbaijan.

The EY Entrepreneur of the Year award celebrates visionary leaders who have demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and dedication to transforming their respective industries. The 'Sustainable Development Nomination' specifically recognizes individuals and organizations that have made significant strides in promoting sustainability and addressing global environmental challenges.

From October 21-23, our team gathered with global associates from 39 Associate companies, representing 34 countries for the Inogen Alliance Associates Bi-Annual Meeting.
Over three days, we engaged in strategic planning on Middle Eastern market trends, tackled business development challenges, explored resilience and growth strategies for EHS&S markets, and concluded with a collaborative workshop aimed at sustainable growth, uniting around a shared vision for the coming decade.
At this meeting, Sustainera contributed to the planning and discussions for the events to be co-organized with Inogen at COP29.
This meeting highlighted the importance of global collaboration and strategic planning to tackle emerging sustainability challenges. We’re excited to apply these insights to enhance our impact and support our clients more effectively!

2023, November 8 

Sustainera Solutions and Inogen Alliance co-organized a side-event on climate finance on 4 December 2023 during #COP28.

The event featured distinguished speakers from Inogen Alliance Associates ANTEA Brasil, Tonkin + Taylor, and Integral Consult, and American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham Azerbaijan)

We believe that the knowledge shared, and connections forged during this event will play a crucial role in advancing sustainable solutions both globally and locally.

Sustainera Solutions proudly participated as a general sponsor in UN Global Compact flagship event Uniting Business Europe (#UBE) in Tbilisi, organized by the United Nations Global Compact and UN Global Compact Network Georgia.  This event brought together high-level government executives, local and global business leaders, corporate sustainability experts, civil society organizations, and Global Compact Networks from the Europe region to assess region's progress in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, examine existing gaps, and inspire business ambition on the #SDGs. 

Executive Director of Sustainera Solutions Ilkin Hajiyev, was one of the speakers on the Panel Discussion: Sustainable Procurement Practices in International Organizations and the Business Sector. Along with the other esteemed panelists, he gave useful perspectives on the importance and challenges of sustainable procurement.

We felt delighted to host the president of Inogen Alliance president Ms. Angelique Dickson during her visit to Baku on 28-29th September. During her stay Ms.  Dickson engaged in productive discussions with prominent companies like SOCAR Downstream, Masdar Azerbaijan, Total Energies, Nobel Energy, Lu-Mun Holding, Azercell LLC, Azersu, HOLCIM Azerbaijan, Port of Baku, and AHK fostering collaborations that aim to drive sustainable innovation and responsible business practices forward. 

These meetings reflect our shared commitment to addressing global challenges and advancing the cause of sustainability.
