On November 15, 2024, the AzerSun Pavilion in COP29’s Green Zone hosted a transformative workshop titled "How to Make Climate Disclosures Work in Practice." Delivered by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Climate & Company, this session brought together regulators, funders, and sustainability practitioners to address the challenges of implementing effective climate reporting standards.

Sustainera Solutions opened the workshop, emphasizing the critical role of capacity-building activities and practical solutions in overcoming barriers to climate reporting. Experts from GRI and Climate & Company introduced the upcoming GRI Climate Change and Energy Standards, scheduled for release in early 2025. Attendees explored key topics, including transition strategies, GHG reduction targets, and carbon credits, while collaborative discussions led to actionable insights through case studies and pilot program examples. This interactive session underscored the importance of robust climate disclosures in driving accountability and advancing sustainability efforts globally.
