Sustainera Consulting supported Agrarco, an agricultural production and export company in Azerbaijan, with the market research service. Sustainera conducted market research regarding the potential of the production of fresh and dry fruits as well as fresh vegetables, while also providing strategic recommendations to local producers. Our market research serves as a start for a solid foundation of a new industry chapter for leveraging the production and sales of naturally and sustainably grown fruits and vegetables. The important aspect of our approach was to carry out the project in the most sustainable manner in order to ensure safe production and stable long-term market linkages.

The market research initiative encompassed a multifaceted methodology, combining desk review of the fruit and vegetable sector in Azerbaijan with an in-depth analysis of production and sales opportunities. Additionally, we meticulously collected import and export statistics to gain a comprehensive understanding of the market dynamics. Simultaneously, we engaged both the B2C and B2B segments, actively gathering primary data on fruit and vegetable consumption habits and the interest in purchasing from local producers. Through qualitative research methods, we conducted interviews with industry experts, extracting valuable insights and industry-specific information. Of particular importance was our exploration of sustainable practices in agriculture, with a focus on environmental factors and their integration into the sector.

By blending quantitative and qualitative data, Sustainera has been able to provide Agrarco with a holistic assessment of the market landscape. Our findings and recommendations serve as a solid foundation for Agrarco and other local producers to navigate this emerging industry successfully. With a keen emphasis on sustainability, we have not only identified market opportunities but also outlined strategies to ensure the long-term viability and competitiveness of the sector.
